Lindsay Lohan's life after rehab is proving to be a bumpy ride - the car she was traveling in was rear-ended by a paparazzo as she left a Hollywood shopping center on Tuesday , January 4. The "Mean Girls" star is readjusting to her daily routine after completing her latest stay in a court-ordered treatment facility on Monday, January 3, stemming from a probation violation from a 2007 DUI charge.

But she is already struggling to stay out of the headlines and found herself involved in a fender bender on her second day of release as she was driven away from The Grove. The snapper responsible for the bump allegedly fled the scene, according to People.com.

No injuries had been reported as WENN went to press. The news comes hours after it emerged Lohan had been slapped with a parking ticket after visiting a friend's home in Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 5.

Upset Lindsay Lohan Calls Police Statement 'Deeply Troubling'

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer has blasted California police officials for releasing a statement suggesting the star violated her probation during her rehab stint, branding their actions "deeply troubling". Lohan, who completed three months of court-ordered treatment on Monday, January 3, was accused of injuring a staff member in an alleged bust-up at the state's Betty Ford Center last month. 

Dawn Holland claimed Lohan flew into a rage after she was caught breaking her curfew,
and also alleged the actress had been drinking. She was later fired for talking about the incident to the press and subsequently withdrew her battery complaint against the "Mean Girls" actress. 

However, the police investigation into the allegations continued and on the same day as Lohan's release, Palm Desert police sergeants Joe Borja and David Florez released a statement suggesting their probe concluded Lohan broke the rules of her probation. They also revealed they were preparing to hand their findings to the local district attorney and the Los Angeles Probation Office for review. 

And the troubled star's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley has expressed her dismay at the officers' decision to step outside their "limited role" and act as press representatives. She tells People.com, "The important, yet limited, investigatory role of the police to gather facts and collect evidence is well-established. The fact that the Palm Desert Police Department went outside this limited role to issue a press statement expressing its opinion about what should happen in Ms. Lohan's case is highly unusual and deeply troubling." 

Lohan spent three months in rehab to fulfil court-ordered treatment for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI conviction. She faces the prospect of returning to jail if officials rule she has breached the conditions of her probation again. 

Lindsay Lohan's Lawyer Fires Back at Violation Rumor

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer has fired back at reports suggesting the actress drank alcohol and used drugs during her four-month stint at the Betty Ford Clinic rehab facility. If true, Lohan, who checked out of rehab on Monday, January 3, faces jail time for again violating the terms of her probation, but attorney Shawn Chapman Holley insists her client was clean throughou t her stay.

Sources tell the Los Angeles Times newspaper that Riverside County detectives believe Lohan may have violated her probation during an altercation with a staffer at the clinic by refusing to take an alcohol sobriety test. 

A statement from Holley reads, "I had numerous conversations with Betty Ford counsellors and doctors over the course of Lindsay's treatment there and it was never suggested by anyone that she ever drank or used drugs. Her discharge letter from the facility is totally consistent with that." 
Lohan appears to be concentrating on getting healthy now she's no longer in rehab - after moving into her new Venice, California home, the actress has been spotted working out at a West Hollywood gym.

Lindsay Lohan May Go to Jail Again for Probation Violation

 Lindsay Lohan is facing the prospect of another stint in jail after cops in California concluded she "violated several aspects of her probation" during an alleged altercation with an employee at a rehab center. The troubled actress was reportedly released from rehab on Monday, January 3 after completing three months of court-ordered treatment for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI conviction.

Lohan's rehab stint was mired in controversy last month after an employee at the Betty Ford Center claimed to have been hurt in a clash with the actress. Dawn Holland, who was later dismissed for talking to the press, alleged Lohan had been drinking and lashed out when she was caught sneaking back in to the clinic after her curfew.

Holland later withdrew her battery complaint against the actress, but the police investigation continued and cops are now ready to hand their case to the local district attorney's office. And Sergeants Joe Borja and David Florez have said in a statement that their probe found Lohan to be in breach of court rules.

The statement, obtained by KPSP Local 2 News, reads, "The investigation determined Ms. Lohan violated several aspects of her probation... It is expected that this investigation will be sent to the district attorney's office later this week." A copy of the report will also be forwarded to the Los Angeles Probation Office.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox previously warned Lohan she faces up to 180 days in jail if she violates the rules of her rehab program or fails a drug test before her next court date on 25 February.

Lindsay Lohan Signs Robert Downey Jr.'s Lawyer

Lindsay Lohan's comeback career has been given a big boost - she has signed Robert Downey Jr.'s entertainment lawyer to help her book lucrative TV and movie deals. The actress is expected to leave the Betty Ford Clinic in California on Monday, January 3 after spending almost four months there, battling the drug and alcohol abuse problems that blighted her 2010 - and her father Michael has confirmed she's planning her return to the spotlight with the man who helped Downey, Jr. recreate his Hollywood career after a series of drug busts.

Michael Lohan says, "Tom Hansen is her entertainment attorney, and Tom Hansen is Robert Downey, Jr.'s lawyer and he really helped Robert put things in the right place."

After leaving rehab, Lindsay is also reported to move out of her pad in West Hollywood. A source said, "Lindsay considered her former apartment in West Hollywood too accessible to paparazzi and those in her life she wants to leave behind" and move to the beach-side suburb of Los Angeles.

Michael Lohan Asks All 4 One to Write Song About Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan's estranged father Michael has commissioned a singer from the Grammy-winning group All 4 One to write a song dedicated to the troubled actress. Delious Kennedy has revealed he's agreed to put pen to paper for a tune he calls "My Rose", a dance club track about the "Mean Girls" star.

Michael Lohan says the song is about a "talented and beautiful young lady who

has grown in our hearts, she is badgered by paparazzi, cut down by the media," adding, "She will wilt, but when she falls, I will always be there to pick her up and put her petals back on."

Kennedy, who says he recorded the song last week, gave TMZ.com a preview to the lyrics: "The girl is like a rose garden. She falls back, springs forth and grows stronger with thorns."

It's not the first time the Lohans have aired out family issues in music. Lindsay debuted her own track, "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)", back in 2005.

The actress, who has been in and out of jail and rehab over the last year, is currently serving out a three-month stint at California's Betty Ford clinic after failing two mandatory drug tests and is rumored to have reached out to her estranged father when he was spotted visiting the center in November 2010. Michael Lohan has since confirmed they are making good progress in fixing their former family feud.

Lindsay Lohan's Mom Talking to Lawyers About Movie Spoof

 Lindsay Lohan's mother has confirmed the family is considering legal action in a bid to stop a movie spoofing the actress' colorful personal life. Lydia Hearst and Joan Collins have signed up for roles in "Dogs in Pocketbooks", about a troubled young star making her way in Hollywood, and screenwriter Charles Casillo has confirmed the model/socialite's part is "obviously based on Lindsay Lohan".

The move has already riled Lohan's father Michael, who criticized the film plans, and now the actress' mother Dina has confirmed she is talking to lawyers about the project. Lohan settled a multi-million dollar battle with executives at financial firm

E-Trade back in September over allegations they mocked her in an advert, and Dina is convinced bosses behind "Dogs in Pocketbooks" could face a similar lawsuit.

She tells TMZ.com, "(The movie role) is definitely based on Lindsay's likeness... We have a very strong case. It's shadowing E-Trade... Anyone bringing negativity will be dealt with accordingly."

Lawyer Stephanie Ovadia, who has reportedly been retained by Dina, adds, "They are again using her likeness without her being compensated... Not only that but they are advertising the fact that they are using her likeness."

'Dogs in Pocketbooks' Screenwriter Withdraws Lindsay Lohan Comment

 The writer/producer of upcoming film "Dogs in Pocketbooks" is backtracking over statements he made suggesting the movie is based on the colorful life of Lindsay Lohan - after the actress' mother threatened to take legal action.

Lydia Hearst and Joan Collins have signed up for roles in the gritty drama, about a troubled young star making her way in Hollywood. Screenwriter Charles Casillo riled Lohan's parents after admitting Hearst's part is "obviously based on Lindsay Lohan" earlier this week.

He told the New York Post, "(The movie) is in no way mean-spirited towards Lindsay. It's the kind of thing she has spoofed about herself in the past. It's more of a satire about the crazy people around her." But the writer/producer is rethinking his pitch after the "Mean Girls" star's mum Dina threatened legal action in a bid to scrap the movie.

Casillo tells TMZ.com his comments have been "totally blown out of proportion", and insists the character was inspired by several young starlets, including Lindsay, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, and Hollywood icons including Marilyn Monroe and Jean Harlow.

Comedy Inspired by Lindsay Lohan Is in the Works

 The life of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has inspired the plot of a new comedy movie starring Joan Collins and Lydia Hearst-Shaw. "Dogs in Pocketbooks" is based on the "Mean Girls" star's colorful past, which has seen her in and out of jail and rehab over the last few years.

Socialite-turned-actress Hearst will take on the lead role of a young star making her way in Hollywood, while Collins will play a high-powered agent in the picture, which begins filming in February 2011. Collins tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The script is a hoot - a satire on the crazed hysteria surrounding showbiz celebrities. I'm playing an aggressive, sexy, powerful woman. For a change."

Screenwriter Charles Casillo adds, "Lydia will play a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media - a role obviously based on Lindsay Lohan. I spent a lot of time casting for the right actress for this screwball comedy, but Lydia is perfect... We looked at a lot of actresses for this role, and I was really knocked out."

Former Rehab Worker Pulls Out Complaint Against Lindsay Lohan

A former rehab worker who accused Lindsay Lohan of lashing out at her has dropped a criminal complaint against the troubled actress. Dawn Holland filed a report with cops earlier this month just hours after she claimed the "Mean Girls" star had shoved her in an altercation at California's Betty Ford clinic.

Holland was subsequently fired from her job at the center for talking to the

press, and Lohan was moved to another facility to continue her three-month court-ordered treatment. But the former rehab worker has now decided to drop her criminal complaint against the star, with her lawyer, Keith Davidson, telling TMZ.com his client does not want to see Lohan prosecuted.

He says, "A crime has quite simply not been committed by Ms Lohan... Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution. (She won't) in any way shape or form to do anything that would violate Lindsay's probation or cause an arrest."

A police investigation was launched after the alleged incident.

A 911 call was placed from the center at 1.03am on December 12 and Lohan's lawyer claims the actress called in police herself. Lohan's father Michael is adamant his daughter should not be blamed for the incident, insisting she was merely 10 minutes late on her return from a hair appointment.

He tells E! Online, "She (Holland) had it in for Lindsay the whole time. As soon as Lindsay walked in the door the woman grabbed Lindsay by the arm, and not the other two girls (she was with), and said, 'You are going to take a urine test'. Lindsay just brushed her off. That is what she told me: 'Dad, I just brushed her off.' It all boils down to that they were 10 minutes late. Lindsay had three weeks left and this woman was in Lindsay's face, constantly complaining."

Lohan's mother, Dina, has also spoken out about her daughter's troubles, telling the New York Post, "There's a mole in the place. Someone in there's trying to hurt her before she gets out."

Meanwhile, Lohan's lawyer has confirmed the actress called police from rehab on the night she is alleged to have lashed out at a member of staff. Holland alleges Lohan was in a "very angry" state when she was caught sneaking back in to the clinic after her curfew, and also claims the star had been drinking. Cops attended the scene after a 911 call was placed, and although no arrests were made, police officials in Palm Desert, California have confirmed they are investigating the case, according to EW.com.

Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley has revealed it was the actress herself who called in authorities, saying in a statement, "At this time, we are declining to comment on the underlying facts surrounding this incident, as we await the completion of the police investigation. It should be noted, however, that it was Ms. Lohan who called 911 to request police assistance at the time this incident occurred."

Cops received a call at 1.03 A.M. on December 12 for "hand-to-hand battery" - but a source tells the website Lohan was not the perpetrator of the incident. The troubled actress insists she didn't strike the first blow and merely pushed back at the unnamed member of staff after she was "unfairly" lectured about arriving at the home after her curfew and ordered to take a drug or alcohol test, according to TMZ.

The website claims Lohan yelled, "Take your hands off of me" as the drama escalated, and then "pushed back" against the woman.

Update: In a statement to TMZ, Betty Ford officials say, "Regrettably, on December 21, 2010, one of our employees violated strict confidentiality guidelines and laws by publicly identifying patients in a media interview and by disclosing a privileged document. The employee has been terminated by the Betty Ford Center."

Lindsay Lohan Moved to New Rehab Facility for Her Safety

Lindsay Lohan's father has confirmed the actress has been moved to a new rehab facility amid fears for her safety. The "Mean Girls" star has been enrolled at California's Betty Ford clinic since October when a judge ordered her to complete three months of treatment for violating her probation stemming from a DUI arrest.

The actress was rumored to have left the facility this week following reports she has been receiving strange phone calls, with Britney Spears' former manager/companion Sam Lutfi alleged to have been in contact with her. But Lohan's father Michael has dismissed allegations Lutfi was the reason for her move - revealing "two other individuals" led to the switch.

He tells Hollyscoop, "When I heard that Sam texted Lindsay I told him to stop IMMEDIATELY... (But) Sam is NOT the reason Lindsay was moved. It was two other individuals that caused her to move for her safety..." No further details were available as WENN went to press.

"Glee" star Jane Lynch is urging Lindsay Lohan not to "take things so personally" after her addiction troubles were mocked in an episode of the hit show. The "Mean Girls" star, who is currently serving a three-month stint in rehab, skipped the court showdown with Nathan in Los Angeles to continue her treatment at the Betty Ford clinic, but her lawyers and business partners were able to reach a settlement on her behalf. Kristy Kaylor, Lohan's 6126 business partner, tells E! News "It was an amicable settlement." The terms of the agreement were kept private.

Lindsay Lohan Due in Court Over Lawsuit Against Her Fashion Company

 Lindsay Lohan is set to leave rehab on Tuesday, December 14 to attend a court hearing about a photographer's lawsuit against the star's fashion company. Scott Nathan filed papers in April alleging he was hired to take shots of the "Mean Girls" actress for her clothing label 6126 in return for a one per cent interest in the business.

But he claims he has received no payment, and is seeking unspecified damages. He is also suing Universal Music Group for copyright infringement and breach of contract, alleging one of his photographs was used on the cover of Lohan's single Bossy.

A settlement conference between Lohan's lawyers and Nathan's legal team is scheduled at a Los Angeles court on Tuesday - and Lohan is expected to attend the hearing, according to Eonline.

Nathan's lawyer Phillip Nevinny tells the website, "I think this is an example of yet another corporate entity running over the rights of an artist. It is just wrong on every level. We are confident of our position and the truth will come out in trial."

Lohan is currently undergoing a three-month court-ordered stay at California's Betty Ford Clinic after failing two drug tests, and is expected to remain in the facility until next year.
