The group's debut album "Sigh No More" finally breaks the list after making its way out in the United States for several months now. They fly up 26 slots to No. 8, scoring their first Top 10 album. The only album staying on the list but suffering decrease isKeyshia Cole's "Calling All Hearts". It's forced to drop one spot from No. 9 to rounding up the Top 10.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal Split, Reasons Revealed

Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of today's biggest stars but she is still unlucky in love. Recently getting a lot of attention for her romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, the singer is single again in early 2011 as sources say she and the actor called it quits just before New Year's Eve.

While representatives for both stars refuse to comment on the report, a source
reveals that it was Jake who first thought that they could not be together anymore. "Jake reached out to her and started all of this, but now he's not acting as interested," the source tells Us Weekly.

"He said he wasn't feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got," the source adds. "He also said he could feel the age difference. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn't listen."

An insider close to the "Brothers" actor adds, "Jake cares about her, but [the publicity] was a lot for him. He wants to keep his private life private, and that's hard to do dating Taylor."

The couple, who was first reported dating in October last year, has since spent their holidays apart. Taylor rang in 2011 in Nashville while Jake was in New York. They were last seen hanging out together on December 9 in Los Angeles.

Taylor Swift Wants Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake for Her Dream Prom

Taylor Swift has dreamed up her perfect Prom night - an evening of fun with superstars Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs. Swift missed her own Prom because she had already entered the big time, but she'd love to go back to school and experience the annual rite of passage for teens - and bring a few famous friends along for the ride.

She says, "It would be a group, and it would be a really fun group. Katy Perry would be so much fun.
She's just, like, crazy fun and, like, spontaneous. Diddy has always been very nice to me. Justin Timberlake is the same way. He's really funny. And Sheryl Crow is really down to earth and really cool."

"And J. Lo would be a really good dancer!"

Taylor Swift Praised by Selena Gomez for Giving Perfect Christmas Gifts

Taylor Swift is a great Christmas gift giver, according to best pal Selena Gomez - she hunts for the perfect present in antiques malls. Gomez admits they both try to top each other with gift ideas at Christmas, but "Love Story" singer Swift always comes out on top. She says, "She gives, like, a box of different knick-knacks... and one year she bought me, like, a painting of us."

In another news related to celebrity Chrismas gift, Scottish singer Paolo Nutini gave his mum a Christmas to remember after surprising her with the keys to a brand new sports car. The "New Shoes" hitmaker was excited to spend his first big pay cheques after
shooting to fame and decided to treat his mother Linda to a TVR Chimaera as thanks for her support.

But they had to arrange for some extra adjustment to the pedals, as his mother's too tiny to reach them. He tells Scottish newspaper the Daily Record, "The biggest amount of money I've ever spent on a Christmas pressie was on a red TVR for my mum. Unfortunately, she was too short for the pedals so she had to get some extenders. I think I was hoping to use it myself sometime."

Jake Gyllenhaal NOT Buying Diamond for Taylor Swift's Birthday

Jake Gyllenhaal's representative has dismissed reports the actor bought rumored girlfriend Taylor Swift a stunning $100,000 white gold bracelet for her recent 21st birthday, branding the story "all false". The "Brokeback Mountain" star has been romantically linked to Swift since October, and they appeared to seal their romance by spending the Thanksgiving holiday together in November.

Swift celebrated the milestone age on December 13 and Gyllenhaal was said to have lavished a dazzling bracelet on the country singer. But the actor's rep has moved swiftly to brush off the speculation, telling GossipCop.com, "All aspects of this are false."
Jake Gyllenhaal never confirms that he's dating Taylor Swift. When quizzed about who he would be taking as his date to the Golden Globes in January 2011, he said, "Dude, I didn't think I was getting nominated! It's going to be a long, slow burn for me. I'm not rushing into anything!"

Taylor Swift Returns to No. 1 on Hot 200, Blocking Michael Jackson

After dethroned from the top spot of Billboard Hot 200 following her historical 1-million-copy debut, Taylor Swift finally clears her way back to the penthouse of the U.S. albums chart this week. The country music singer claims the No. 1 position once again with her latest effort "Speak Now".
She switches places with Susan Boyle. As the young singer moves up to the first spot with additional 259,000 copies (up 29%), the "Britain's Got Talent" singing sensation has to drop one slot to the runner-up place with 254,000 units sold for her set "The Gift".

So far, "Speak Now" has sold a total of 2.6 million copies after only two months of release. It becomes this year's third-best selling album, standing behind Eminem's "Recovery" (3.2 million) and Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" (3 million).

Beside pushing aside Boyle, Swift also stands in Michael Jackson's way to the top spot through his first posthumous album. Featuring Akon, 50 Cent and Lenny Kravitz, the "Michael" CD lands at the third place with 228,000 in its opening week.

The next two spots are secured by Jackie Evancho's "O Holy Night" and "Glee" Christmas album. Next, there are R. Kelly and Diddy-Dirty Money. Kelly arrives at No. 6 with "Love Letter" (154,000), and the Dirty Money enter just behind him with "Last Train to Paris" (101,000). The next highest chart debut outside the Top 10 this week is Crystal Bowersox's "Farmer's Daughter". Selling around 58,000 copies with her debut album, the "American Idol" runner-up bows at No. 28. She beats winner Lee DeWyze in opening sale number, but her "Farmer's Daughter" chart debut is a couple slots lower than his "Live It Up". He entered at No. 19 with 39,000 last month.

Jake Gyllenhaal Bought Taylor Swift Diamond Bracelet

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal showered his rumored girlfriend Taylor Swift with diamonds on her 21st birthday - he bought her a stunning $100,000 white gold bracelet. The "Brokeback Mountain" star has been romantically linked to Swift since October, and they appeared to seal their romance by spending the Thanksgiving holiday together in November, when they were spotted enjoying coffee dates in New York and in her adopted home state of Tennessee.
Swift celebrated the milestone age on December 13 and Gyllenhaal drew inspiration for one of his gifts from their shared love of caffeine. A pal tells In Touch Weekly, "They love coffee, so he sent her 21 pounds of the best Kona coffee available, along with a coffee grinder and a coffeemaker. And he made her a birthday card, as opposed to buying a generic one."

But the Hollywood actor saved the best present till last - showing he was serious about the budding relationship by spending a small fortune on a gift the country sweetheart would treasure. The insider says, "It's an Oscar-worthy bracelet - nearly 30 carats of colourless diamonds set in white gold. It cost Jake about $100,000, but he wanted to do something special for Taylor's birthday."

He tells USA Today, "Dude, I didn't think I was getting nominated! It's going to be a long, slow burn for me. I'm not rushing into anything!" On Tuesday, December 14, Gyllenhaal landed a nomination for Best Actor (Musical or Comedy) for his performance in "Love and Other Drugs".

MTV VMA 2009: Beyonce Knowles and Taylor Swift

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards extravaganza at Radio City Hall in New York witnessed Beyonce Knowles' "Single Ladies" winning the MTV award, known as Moonman, for the Best Video of the year. Britney Spears won the Best Pop Video, Green Day won the Best Rock Video and Eminem won the Hip Hop, while the flamboyant Lady Gaga was picked for the Best New Artist Award.

Madonna opened the evening extravaganza by commemorating "one of the greatest talents the world has ever known", Michael Jackson, who "didn't just make you want to dance, but actually made you believe you could fly". But after praising Jackson, Madonna sounded a darker note, saying she felt many failed to go to his help when his life began to fall apart amid health problems, a fading career, and child abuse allegations. She finally said, "Long live the king!" Following it, Janet Jackson recreated the dance moves from her only video made with her brother, "Scream".

Video Of The Year Award was won by Beyoncé Knowles for "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)", directed by Jake Nava. Best Choreography (choreography by Jaquel Knight & Frank Gatson Jr.) and Best Editing (edited by Jarrett Fijal) Awards also went to Beyonce’s Single Ladies.

Lady Gaga won the Best New Artist Award for "Poker Face", directed by Ray Kay. Best Art Direction Award ("Paparazzi", Art Direction by Jason Hamilton), and Best Special Effects ("Paparazzi", Special Effects by Chimney Pot) also went to Lady Gaga.

Eminem won the Best Hip-Hop Video Award for "We Made You", directed by Joseph Kahn.

T.I. and Rihanna won the Best Male Video Award for "Live Your Life", directed by Anthony Mandler -- the entire video for "Live Your Life" was shot in a memento-like reverse chronological order.

Britney Spears bagged the Best Pop Video Award for "Womanizer", directed by Joseph Kahn.

Best Rock Video Award went to Green Day for "21 Guns", directed by Marc Webb. Best Cinematography (cinematography by Jonathan Sela) and Best Direction (Marc Webb) Awards were also bagged by Green Day for "21 Guns."

The Best Female Video Award was won by Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" (directed by Roman White).

The Best Video Award went to Beastie Boys for "Sabotage" directed by Spike Jonze.

Matt and Kim won the Breakthrough Video Award for "Lessons Learned", directed by Taylor Cohen & Otto Arsenault.

The teen country music star Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video Award was interrupted when rapper Kanye West crashed the stage and grabbed her microphone to tell the hall that he favoured Beyonce's video. However, Beyonce later made up for the incident by inviting Swift to share the stage during her own award triumph.

However, it was Michael Jackson, who died aged 50 on June 25, who received the most accolades, with host Russell Brand and award winners lining up to pay tributes to The King of Pop.
