Bollywood hottie Rituparna Sengupta

Rituparna Sengupta, born on 7 November, 1971 in Calcutta, active in the arts from childhood, having learnt painting, dancing and handicrafts at a painting school, is a leading Bengali actress and now getting accolades for her Hindi films, debuted in the film Shwet Patharer Thala in 1995 playing a supporting role. Rituparna is married to Sanjay Chakrabarty, founder and CEO of MobiApps.

Her films include Sujan Sakhi, Nag Panchami, Moner Manush, Sansar Sangram, Dahan (1997), Utsab (2000), Paromitar Ek Din (2000), Mondo Meyer Upakhyan (2002), Chaturanga (2008), Main Osama (2008), Mon Amour: Shesher Kobita Revisited (2008), Sirf Life Looks Greener On The Other Side (2008), Chander Bari (2007), Gauri (2007), Andhakarer Shabdo (2006), Anuranan (2006) and Byatikrami (2003). She won the Best Actress award at the 1998 Indian National Film Awards for her role in Rituparno Ghosh's Dahan, for her role Romita, a newly-wed woman.

Rituparna has worked in the Bangladeshi film industry also, winning a lot of acclaim, glamour and popularity. Rituparna is a trained Manipuri and Odissi dancer and has her own dance troupe, which performs various dance-dramas, and has made commendable contributions in that sphere. She also has a media production company, Prism Entertainment.
